In between ‘Hello and Goodbye’
We shared our pleasure and pain,
Our joy of laughter, our cry of hurt
Our friendship we have at best.
This relationship is still new
And yet it feels so true,
Had we met somewhere before?
Perhaps in our past lives, long ago.
Though the time we spent together was brief,
I might not have made it without you
In a place so cold and solemn
And eternally grateful I will be.
Just like a dream
Which has no beginning and ending,
For now we may part
You will stay here and I will go,
But our affinity will let us meet again
I hope someday... somehow.
Sometimes we may walk in the rain
At times in the shine,
No matter what life brings
I’ll remember you with your patience,
So fare thee well, Mr. Rocker
