Looking out the window
Leaves sifting down in the September moon,
They have no more tomorrow
As life has passed them by too soon.
You do recall crystalline
The day you bloomed with the sun,
Didn’t know what it all meant
Until it was all over and done.
Every passers-by gazed with admiration
They had not an idea what you were going through,
In the shine or in the rain
Nobody knew your most holy pain.
People took you for granted as nonentity
They didn’t realize the life you were giving,
It was you with your self- pity
Upon the goodness of earth you made a living.
Like the rainbow fading in my eyes
When the wings of time fly by,
It is time for you to say ‘good-bye’
I wonder why did you have such a short life?
As you let go of your hands
The force of the earth will take you by the heart,
It would all end when you touch the sand
And on the next day, you will be swept away.
