Life II

Life – you are an enigma and a mystery
Are you a question or an answer? No one knows,
And indistinct definition is found in my dictionary
Bewildering! But that’s the way you are.

Life – you have watched me grown up
And you have laughed and cried with me,
But you have given me the facts all in a gulp
How am I ever supposed to know?

Life – you have brought me up and down
Isn’t it the way you’re supposed to be?
A moment of truth is all that I haunt
If my wish came true, I shall vow to thee.

Life – you have taught me lessons of living
Lessons I wasn’t at all prepared to learn,
Do you realize it’s my mind you’re hurting?
Are you kind enough to set me a new turn?

Life – you have pushed me through too many doors
And you have closed too many doors behind me,
I don’t want to play the stage anymore
Rest me in a coffin and throw away the key.
